Along this road is none but I; THIS AUTUMN EVE, 2022—*

Inspired by a haiku by 17th-century Japanese poet Matsuo Bashó, THIS AUTUMN EVE is my personal, contemporary and visual quest for silence.

In THIS AUTUMN EVE, I take you into a poetic twilight world that is remote and timeless. A world shrouded in mists and silence. I show you the rugged beauty of the empty, northern landscape, from snowy fields to misty salt marshes. Along deserted roads we occasionally discern an abandoned barn in the late autumn light. Mostly photographed in black and white, supplemented by an occasional image in colour.

THIS AUTUMN EVE is a reaction to the decline of nature in our country and the resulting loss of values such as silence, darkness and openness.
